Bury's first purely craft beer festival - brought to you by Artefact and the Constitutional Club

From heavily-hopped New England IPAs, strong stouts, hazy pale ales to sour and fruity numbers, this event will have a craft beer to delight and excite everyone: including our popular Jasmine Blonde and national award-winning Black IPA.  Festival-goers will be able to meet brewers from each of these breweries while at the festival, which is another feature that makes this event unique and different to the main CAMRA East Anglian Beer Festival, held in the Cathedral in August. 

Tickets for the event are £6 and can be booked now or bought on the door. 

Passionate about bringing high-quality, independent craft beer to the town, since starting Artefact we have been frustrated by a lack of suitable venues in Bury to sell our beer to and to hold events at. So, in April, Kat approached Neil Rayson, Manager at the Constitutional Club, about teaming up on this concept and hosting a brand new craft beer festival together at the Constitutional Club; Bury’s independent and community-focused venue and members club.

Kat Lawson-Phillips, Co-Founder of Artefact Brewing, said: “James and I have been trying to hold this event in Bury for some time, so we’re very excited to have a venue to work with finally and we’re very happy about this event! We hope this could be the start of a new, really cool, dedicated, annual craft beer festival for Bury St Edmunds, which really celebrates craft beer and brings the local craft beer community together. 

“We have so many amazing, independent, small breweries across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex, producing incredible beers, so this festival will feature a very good lineup! For this first event, we’ve picked just eight regional breweries that we know well, but could have easily included more.”
