Artefact Brewing

To celebrate five years of Artefact, we have been busy brewing up five very special collaboration brews.

These will be pouring first at a pop-up ‘yard tap’ event at the brewery on Saturday 17th May – join us for pints and paella to mark the occasion. Then, the beers will be available to order through Beautiful Beers.

Born in a barn - 8.4% - Suffolk Honey Saison

Working with Tom from Little Earth Project, this is a very special beer using local Suffolk honey and Little Earth's organic malt and hops. Expect notes of eucalyptus, bubblegum and pepper on the nose, finishing with sweet malt, spice and undertones of citrus, making this beer something to savour.

Go with the flow - 6.2% - Modern English IPA

Working with Dean and Jill from Baker's Dozen Brewing we made a contemporary take on a classic English IPA. To show that British Hops can pack a punch, we used a combination of UK grown Chinook, Godiva and a flowable form of Ernest hop called Spectrum. Adding the spectrum as a ‘whirlpool’ and ‘hop dip’ addition to promote biotransformation with the yeast. Expect grapefruit, pineapple and tangerine on the nose with a base of caramel and biscuit, finishing on a biting bitterness - keeping this fruity beer balanced and highly drinkable

Bucking Trends - 3.2% - Farmhouse Table Witbier

Working with the lovely team from All Day Brewing we collaborated on a ‘Farmhouse Table Witbier’ using a beautiful Heritage Hana Malt and experimenting with buckwheat, for the first time. Expect notes of lemon, and earthy undertones on the nose from the buckwheat, carrying through into the flavour of the beer with a zippy and tart finish.

Silver Pheasant - 4.8% - Heritage Golden Ale

Working with the infamous Alan from Old Chimneys Brewery, we've brewed a heritage take on his classic Golden Ale, previously called Golden Pheasant. Expect notes of hay and orange on the nose, with honey, wheat, subtle fruity esters and a clean bitterness on the finish.

Dutch Lentebock - 6.5% - Spring Bock Lager

Working with René from Beautiful Beers, we've collaborated on a Dutch Lentebock or ‘Spring Bock’. Expect aromas of honey, subtle tangerine and bread crust, finishing with an abundance of biscuit and caramel, balanced by clean bitterness in this sweet yet crisp lager.
